i'm working on an updated manifesto and position paper for the boohabian slamdance to distinguish it from previous work and update what i consider to be the problems with racism, and debate about it today. it's turning out to be a bit larger than i expected and i really do want it to stand on its own. but it incorporates a lot of the recent squealing about racism, and attempts once and for all to make the appropriate distinctions between bigotry, hate speech, offensive speech, intstitutional racism and the legacy of residential segregation, north and south. 

i may trim it down a little bit. it is quite a bite. in the mean time it makes sense to check out loury, because aside from the meta punditry, he is still right on top of the main american problem.
