sonny perdue, without saying anything in particular, wants to give the voters of georgia the opportunity to have their say on something that's already been said.

In 2001, the Georgia legislature replaced the confederate battle emblem with a new design, which is the state’s current flag.

"Irrespective of people's opinion on the flag, most people feel like they should have had some say and input into that and I plan to give that to them," Governor-elect Perdue said.
