Q. Is the survival of the Black community in jeopardy?

A. Contributor's responses fall into 3 categories:

1.) No. The question is viewed as defeatist. There have
always been problems and we have always survived. We
are a race of survivors.

2.) In some areas black survival is an issue; however, in just
as many areas it is not.

3.) Yes. The community as a whole is and increasingly will
be impacted by the acceleration of self-destructive
behaviors within many of our neighborhoods, as well as
anti-Black practices of liquor and drug distributors,
mainstream media, government in all its manifestations
including health care, the police, and power brokers
who control the government.
