50 Cent Republicans

First of all I want to ask a question. Is the rap star 50 Cent a Republican? True or False?

I mean the urban myth is pretty well baked. Some black rap star throws a thousand bucks to a GOP fundraiser, like so many dollars to hoes. Except he does it anonymously with his real name that nobody knows. They then show up and proceed to freak out the whitebreads in the house, like Huey Freeman at a garden party. You can imagine Dres Titus or Eddie Griffin doing this, but is it true about Fiddy, and if so, what's the rest of the story?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Years ago in the Twin Cities, the local public TV station used to have an annual charity auction. For one of these events, Minneapolis city councilwoman Barbara Carlson tastelessly arranged to auction off an evening ride-along with a police vice squad patrol.

The winner was an anonymous wealthy patron of public television, who paid several thousand dollars for the ride, and promptly gave the ticket to my friend Tim Campbell, a gay activist noted for his in-your-face attitude toward this branch of the city's porcine constabulary.

The cops welched. Hilarity ensued.

God bless Fitty! I've never voted for a Democrat, but even so, I'm always in favor of freaking out the GOP whitebreads, wherever, whenever possible, by any means necessary. It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it.

Fifty thinks Bush is "gangsta" and sees a lot of himself in Bush. He cannot vote because of his felony convictions but would love to shake his hand one day. I think that is sweet but I doubt 50 has any real concept of true conservative philosophy. He likes Bush because he knows a thug when he sees one.
