True Crime: Streets of New York

I wanted to like this. What a stunningly huge disappointment.

The original was a fun game marred by poor control of fighting. This one seems even worse. The whole thrill of walking through New York is destroyed by and incredibly monotonous stream of repeated invectives. You walk up the sidewalk and all you hear is 'What the hell?' and 'Oh shit!'. I kid you not. They've added rain, big deal. This one is horrible.

BUT. I'm going to keep it for another few days just to see if there are any goodies worth waiting for. The game is still a great idea with a very cool soundtrack. Couldn't they just sell the franchise to the GTA guys? At least that way it will get done right. I'd much rather be the cop than the thug, but I have to tell you - if you compare the two games, it's a whole lot more enjoyable being the thug in San Andreas than the cop in New York City.

at first i did not like the game i look horrible from the first one but it has every thing i wanted in the first true crime in this one i like the whole set up of reporting back to the precinct instead of just sliding through a garage and how the have police booths set up acroos town instead of subway markings they should put the stores on the map but it is fun to just roll up on a store and get a hair and money from extortion

At first I did not like the game, It looks horrible compared to the first one. But it has every thing i wanted in the first true crime in this one; I like the whole set up of reporting back to the precinct instead of just sliding through a garage, and how they have police booths set up across town. Instead of subway markings they should have put the stores on the map but it is fun to just roll up on a store and get a hair cut and money from extortion. I hate the part about the game as far as the people cussing at the wind i would much rather them not say anything at all if that was a choice but aside from that it has grown on me and any fan will not let that stop them
