I'm not sure about that Cobb. I think Delay's friends will circle the wagon and a scorched earth policy will be implemented to destroy the Texas DA. I think most is your party will give Tom a pass even if he is guilty - and I happen to think that he is.

I have simply lost faith in the American people to see politicians as they truly are. That goes for Republicans and Democrats. I have no doubt that Rush, Sean Hannity and O'Reilly will have both six-shooters locked and loaded with GOP spin. I am sure that their audience will blindly follow the spin and Delay will walk away from this with nothing more than a scratch to his ego.

I think you'll have to wait another generation or two before you see the type of leadership in the Congress. Call me cynical, but I've given up hope.
