Katrina Cleanup Jobs

I have the following new information. I'll only leave the numbers on the website for a couple days as my experience tells me that people move quick and in volume:

If you know any young men age 18 and up who are looking for work, Bishop Eddie Long, Pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA is offering $32.00 per hour for a team of men willing to go to New Orleans to help with the disaster and damage done by Hurricane Katrina. You can call the church at 770-696-9600 for sign up and more information.

Also...

A Construction company is looking to hire 1000 people to help with
hurricane clean up. $10/hr, 80-90 hrs weekly, food, lodging,
transportation to area.

Start immediately, could go on for 1-2 yrs. Anyone interested can call directly to LVI Svcs, 713-991-0480, 10500 Telephone Rd , Houston, Texas.

Check them out yourself. I'm just passing on the information and have not checked it out.

Demolition, evironmental remediation, construction. Plumbing, electrical, all the trades. This will be a major opportunity for young brothers (and even some middle age and old brothers) to learn how to build things. You can believe there is capital forming already to rebuild.

I hope they can overlook a conviction and give some parolees a chance, too.

Let me clarify folks. I'm not offering the jobs. Think of me as the editor of the classified section. I'm just putting them here for you to see. Don't call me, call the numbers above.

You can continue to use this website and message for offers of jobs and offers to work on jobs.

I've not been able to contact the Church, and the LVI Environmental guys in Houston are full up, but I will continue to urge folks to keep looking and send me information if you have it.

    Thanks.

If you are rebuilding with wood I wouldn't be interested. However If you wanted to build with concrete I would. ICPS (insulated concrete panel sytems) are ever strong 6000 psi, they are 17' long light wieght, water tight and easy to work with. We would start with a simple footing, then set a 6"x4'x17'styrepfone panel with a #10 ga. wire over it and finally it is sprayed with concrete. Also why don't we hear about any hydrgen fuel cells and solar panels being used?
