Jerry Orbach
OK you would have never convinced me in a million years, but it's true. Jerry Orbach who just retired from Law & Order's Lt. Briscoe is the same Jerry Orbach who was the voice of Lumiere in 'Beauty & The Beast'.
Yes, the little Frenchy candlestick who sings 'Be Our Guest' is Jerry Orbach. Well blow me down.

Mr. Orbach is an old song and dance man whose first major roll was as an original cast member in the show the Fantastics which ran forever in NYC. He also appeared in many Broadway msicals, including Applause.

Jerry Orbach is retired from Law&Order, but will return soon in a new L&O spinoff.
as to our last name- it is Welsh, originally "ap Owen" (son of Owen), the name being streamlined into "Bowen" over time. Owen is a derivative of "Eugene", that a derivative of "Eohgan" from the Celtic. The name means "well born".
we have a coat of arms, that being a silver stag with an arrow in it's back on a blue field.
we are related to the English privateer John Bowen of Swansea, a successful pirate who retired with his riches to the island of Madagascar in the 17th century.
there aren't a lot of Bowens around, thems that are's related.

The arrow in the butt of that stag is broken. Those who might arrest our progress find their weapons insufficient. Our head is high despite our pain, and as we stand no hunters gain.
