It takes a little while, but after you read about six articles from Xinhua News Service, you get the taste of government propaganda in your mouth. Man are we lucky. But that does little to dilute the sheer awe inspired by the Three Gorges River Project which is already generating electricity.
In China, they build things.

Remember, this is the regime the quashed free speech at Tiananmen Square.
It's especially enlightening to an American the first time he visits or works in a non-democratic country. I used to carry a portable shortwave radio just so I could get some perspective on the news that wasn't filtered and re-written by the local Bureau of (dis-)Information.
