Jamie Foxx
The spousal unit has subscribed to Entertainment Weekly. It is for that reason alone that I know somebody somewhere in Hollywood is thinking about putting together a Marvin Gaye biopic.
Jamie Foxx should play it. You would know this if you've ever heard him sing.

Humbly disagree! Gaye has to be Jesse L. Martin.
'Sides, Foxx already has "Ray" on lock.

My sister used to date a guy nicknamed "Speedy" that opened for Jamie on tour. Back in late 1999, Speedy hooked us up with some tix to Jamie's show (and the after-party) at the Paramount in Seattle.
Not only is the brotha drop dead funny, he can sing his a** off.

I like Jesse, but can he sing?

Umm, how can anyone not know that Jamie Foxx can sing? When he had hisown show, he sang every chance he got.

Well, I confess I never watch UPN or WB. I can't even remember the circumstances under which I found out.

I will reserve opion about Jammie Fox playing the role until I see him when he does Ray Charles. I know he can sing. And I have seen some potential IMHO as a dramatic actor but no roles meaty enough to see really how good he is. But Goerge is right about Jesse. And you don't have to be able to sing. Somebody else does the singing anyway.

I think it's been years since his show was off the air. For the record, the WB and UPN have zilch to offer black people except countless hours of embarrassment. Have you seen the previews for the new show "Method & Red" (as in Methodman and Redman)? Tragedy.

the brother can definitely sing. i bought his "peep this" cd (apparently along with 4 other folks) but he does shine. the production was shoddy but his vocal skills are there no doubt. it's his acting skills i'm concerned with. don't get me wrong i'd love to see more color in hollywood but i'm just not impressed with him as a dramatic actor. i personally think he should stick with the jokes or the sitcom type roles he's previously taken, as long as he isn't steppin' and fetchin' too much.
@ambra tell me about it. method & red about to usher in a new era of 'coonerism'.

Jesse Martin can sing his uknow what off. He is an original member of RENT. He should definitely do Marvin Gaye.

Does anyone know where I can purchase Jamie Foxx: Peep This either to download or the CD?

What!
Evidently this is a super rare album. Your best bet is to get it off eBay. It's going for 35 bucks.

Jamie has always been a good actor. What does skin color have to do with it. I remember bumpin his CD back in 94 when no one else was.

I've seen Ray many, many times. It's a wonderful movie. Jamie captures Ray so well, that after a few minutes, you forget that it's Jamie you're watching. Jamie has come a long way, baby. I hope he continues in the direction that he is going. He is a marvelous comedian, singer and actor. I look forward to adding more dvds to my Jamie Foxx collection. Can someone please tell me where I can find his cd Peep this. I would really love to add this to my collection too. Thanks!
