Welcoming Seal
The ACLU is an example of an organization that is so broadminded that it has become flatheaded. What the hell is up with these people? Too much time on their hands, I suspect.
What's wrong with this picture? Why it has a cross on it. And some people might be offended by that? According to the ACLU the presence of the Christian icon makes the seal of the County of Los Angeles less welcoming. According to that logic, we might as well change the name of the city. Or why not rename Pico Boulevard to someone other than that outlaw Pio Pico? Or better yet, why not rename the ACLU because in this case they clearly don't have A CLUE.

Hmm....the cross is so tiny, when I first glanced at the seal, I thought the problem was the Masonic symbols. In my part of the country, that's shorthand for "Catholics Not Wanted Here", although I don't suppose that is the case in California!

Yeah, but then they take up causes like this one.
"The bottom line is that they have to treat religious activity the same as they would any other activity," Kent Willis, executive director of the ACLU's Virginia chapter, told the Times. "If they allow people in the water to swim, then they must allow baptisms."

isn't that a picture of the goddess pamona in the middle? why didn't they ask for the removal of that…sorry I forgot that the ACLU stands for the anti Christian Litigation Unit.

My father worked for the County for many years. Sometime back in the 70s, when it was the coolest new little Chevy, Pops earned the right to use a County Vega. That little white Vega with the County Seal on the door was a great source of pride for my family. So I have sentimental reasons for liking the symbol.
This is a stupid fight and the ACLU should stand down.
