VPN Headaches
Well now I've swallowed a firehose. I'm signed up to work on three projects at once. It's nice to have a full plate for the first time in many months. I'm getting into the groove of working at home.
Anyway, I'm getting headaches trying to get my VPN router to work with XP. It's a real pain, and I'm trying to do anything I can not to have to purchase one for the other end, but it's starting to look futile. I've got the Linksys BEFVP41 v2 and it just is pure annoyance.
How is your VPN setup?

The answer was to setup my router to forward specific ports to the machine inside my firewall. Aha.

I have a Linksys also and use Windows 2K vs. XP. Works beautifully. XP seems like a nightmare.

Dreamhost gives me VPN support, but I haven't tapped it yet. Right before this year's SXSW, Haughey put a bug in folks' ears about a third-party solution. My PowerBook and I wound up digging it.

You've gotten yours to work but I've had Nortel VPN for years it seems, and it works fine. Every single day, much to my chagrin. Can't escape work. Haven't tried Dreamhost VPN yet either.
